Set amidst the glamour of 1960s Venice and staged on the American Repertory Theater’s Mainstage, Nine is a kaleidoscopic fusion of reality and creativity. As he begins production on a new film, Guido Contini, celebrated film director, confronts the extraordinary women who have influenced his life through Maury Yeston’s lush score. Dissecting the boundaries between life and art, Guido mines his personal life for inspiration, leaving a trail of devastation in his wake.
