As part of the Composer Focus series, pianist Paul Jacobs will be performing Ligeti's monumental (and fun) Musica Ricercata, along with a couple of the incredible etudes. Also on the program, Ligeti's solo cello piece and duos by Bartok, a primary influence of Ligeti's. The second concerts, featuring works for string quartet, will be held on February 28th, at 8:00 pm.
