Boston Philharmonic performs Schumann Elgar and Mendelssohn with violinist Jennifer Frautschi

3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Sunday, February 21, 2016

Location:
295 Huntington Ave, Suite 210

Even a first time concert goer can enjoy Schumann’s Manfred Overture or Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, especially with such an eloquent advocate as Jennifer Frautschi, but Elgar’s profound First Symphony is likely to meet with resistance at a first hearing, unless there is some guidance through its complex structure. Maestro Zander's explanations, always easily understandable, have helped countless first time concert goers.
