Councillor Minka vanBeuzekom

Dear Cambridge Resident,

My name is Minka vanBeuzekom and I am your Cambridge City Councillor.

For the past 30 years I have been an active Cambridge community leader. My center of attention is on the quality of life within our neighborhoods; this requires balancing wise urban development with the preservation of livable neighborhoods. Much of my life’s work is in public health and the environment. Like some of you, I’ve done this while raising my family and working in the business and nonprofit world.

The work of the City Council is varied. The council proposes and adopts city policies that impact the community, works on public improvement projects, and manages the finances and property taxes of the City. My focus is on keeping us healthy, vital, and maintaining financial resources for the public good.

The City of Cambridge already has incredible resources, services and opportunities for all its residents and I will work to preserve them. I look forward to meeting and serving you. Let’s work together towards the continuing goal of making Cambridge, our home, the city we all know it can be.
