Committee Openings

The City is looking for residents to join the bicycle committee. Cyclists of all ages are encouraged to apply.

The committee reviews major development and roadway plans from a cyclist perspective. It works with City staff on both general practices and specific projects with a goal of making the entire city work well for people on bikes. It organizes family rides and other events.

Committee applicants should be enthusiastic cyclists who live in Cambridge, can attend monthly meetings, and are willing to work on projects. The bicycle committee meets on the second Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the City Hall Annex, 344 Broadway.

To apply for appointment, send a letter by December 4, 2009 describing your interest in cycling and the kinds of projects or issues you would like to work on. The letter should be addressed to Robert W. Healy, City Manager. It can be emailed to randers@cambridgema.gov or sent by US Mail to Rosalie Anders, Environmental and Transportation Planning, 344 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02139. Appointments are for two years.
