The License Commission is in the process of revising the for-hire vehicle regulations, currently applicable to livery and limousine licensees in the City of Cambridge. To aid us in this process, we have scheduled two public information forums to accept comments from interested parties, the industry and other identified stakeholders regarding specific areas of interest. This is the final public forum; however, written comments may be submitted to the License Commission until Monday, September 2, 2013. For additional information regarding the nature and scope of the forum, please see: http://www.cambridgema.gov/license/liveryvehicles.aspx

Love Fresh Pond Reservation? Give back to our urban oasis: volunteer!
The beauty and ecological health of our Reservation requires constant care! Invasive weeds, which threaten wildlife habitat and Fresh Pond’s forests, meadows and wetlands, are a top concern. Volunteer weeding events are ongoing throughout the fall. Beginners are welcome. Learn about local botany and ecology while helping the Reservation! Long sleeves and pants are recommended to prevent contact with poison ivy. Tecnu will be available. Temporary parking permits will be available for free for volunteers coming from out of town.
Morning weed-outs take place Thursday mornings from 10-noon through October, meeting at the trailer in the Cambridge Water Department parking lot at 250 Fresh Pond Parkway.
