Many birds stop at Fresh Pond to rest and eat while heading south for the winter. In early September, we may see migrating warblers in their non-breeding plumage, herons, and several species of ducks. We also might see summer residents that will soon be leaving, and birds such as woodpeckers that stay year-round. Beginners are welcome. We have binoculars to lend and will show you how to use them. This is a free Friends of Fresh Pond-sponsored event; please register with Elizabeth Wylde at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 617-349-6489 and leave your name and phone number. Important parking information will be given to you upon registration.
