by Thursday, May 10 if you are interested in attending.
Participants will develop batting and fielding skills with players and coaches from the MIT baseball team, a successful NCAA Division 3 program. They will also explore the science of baseball, including short workshops in measuring a balls bounce and using algebra to compare their running speeds with various athletes.
All participants must complete the attached medical waiver form and bring a copy signed by a parent or legal guardian to the clinic on Saturday, May 12.
The MIT Science of Baseball Program is a summer program provided free of charge to talented boys who attend public school in Boston or Cambridge, who will enter the eighth grade or ninth grade in the fall of 2012, and who have a love for math, science and baseball.
