Continued from September 19th P&C meeting to have all utilities, developer and City meet on site to determine best routs.  Comcast filed their application today.  They will come in from Rogers Street.  Nstar Electric and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Second Street Easterly from MHC2155 then continuing on Bent Street – install approximately 295 feet of conduit and build new manhole (MH29648).  This work is to provide service to large residential building.  W/O #01907938.

Continued from September 19th P&C meeting for Verizon to apply to move pole. Nstar Electric and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Washburn Ave., Southwesterly from new Verizon installed pole #707/3-1/2 approximately 165 feet northeast of Mass Ave., installing approximately 168 feet – conduit continuing on Mass Ave., connecting to MHC547.  This work is necessary for system improvement and reliability.  W/O #01922827.

New Petition:  Nstar Electric and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Kenwood Street Northeasterly @ the intersection of Putnam Avenue from MHC2912 – install sidewalk roadwalk antenna.  Kenwood Street – Northwesterly side, install associated 18” repeater antenna on Pole 406/2 X#01818088.

Continued from September 19th P&C meeting in order to have a site visit with a concerned abutter and to see if the project can be moved.  Verizon New England, Inc., 125 High Street, Oliver Tower, Floor 5, Boston, MA 02110, for the following:  Ellery Street and Harvard Street To place approximately 275 feet + or – of 2-4 PVC form sidewalk at #12 Ellery Street northwesterly then northerly to proposed new manhole on Ellery Street and continuing westerly on Harvard Street and then northeasterly approximately 210 feet + or – to an existing Verizon manhole in Harvard Street at #361 for redundant service.

New PetitionMassachusetts Institute of Technology,77 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA for the following:  Installation of four (4) new 40-ft 5-inch PVC conduits encased in concrete to connect 233 Mass Ave with 30 State Street.  A 40-ft telecommunications cable will be installed in one of the conduits with the other three as spare for future MIT use.  Work also includes pavement and sidewalk restoration and removal and resetting of granite curb. 

New Petition:  Teleport Communications America, 157 Green Street, Suite 2, Foxboro, MA 02035 for the following:  Sixth Street – Public Way.  Replace an existing 4’ x 4’ x 5’ manhole with a 12’ x 6’ x 7’ manhole and install six (6), four-inch PVC conduits to the property of 250 Bent Street (AT&T); a distance of approximately 8-feet.  All work shall be completed in accordance with the specifications set forth by the Cambridge Public Works Department.

From existing P.286/26 Huron Ave, trench approx. 2440’ in public way ending at P.4/728 Lakeview Ave.  We will install 2-4” sch40 pvc conduits.  This will include the removal and replacement of the (10) Ten 4’x4’x4’ handholes.
