Petition continued (2nd time) from August 21st P&C hearing; still working with Mass DOT.    Comcast 55 Concord Street, North Reading, MA for the following:  Monsignor O’Brien Hwy.  Place new 3’x3’ Comcast manhole over existing underground Comcast conduit at the south east corner of Water St. Trench approximately 1,140’ westerly on Monsignor O’Brien Hwy ending at the Somerville line on Monsignor O’Brien Hwy.  Three additional Manhole’s will be installed along the path including 6 lateral trenches to the property lines of 201,215, 225, 239 and 241 Monsignor O’Brien Hwy installing 1-4” PVC to each. See drawing for details. 

Petition continued (2nd time) from August 21st hearing; still working with DCR.  Comcast 55 Concord Street, North Reading, MA for the following:  25 Edwin H. Land Blvd.  From existing Manhole in first east bound lane, trench 45ft in public way, extending 32’ in sidewalk towards property line.  Install 1-4” PVC conduit and backfill and restore as required per City of Cambridge Specifications.

New Petition Comcast 55 Concord Street, North Reading, MA for the following:   1 Athenaeum St  to place new manhole over existing Comcast conduit at the corner of 2nd and Athenaeum St.  From newly placed manhole, trench 114’ easterly, installing 1-4” conduit ending at PP line of 1 Athenaeum St. Remove and replace brick sidewalk.

New Petition Comcast 55 Concord Street, North Reading, MA for the following:   245 First St from existing Comcast manhole located in the center island of Land Blvd, trench grass area  of island southerly 239’ then turning west an additional 72’ in the public way installing 1-4” conduit ending at the PP line of 245 First St. Remove and replace brick sidewalk.

New Petition Lightower Fiber Networks, LLC, 80 Central Street, Boxborough, MA 01719 for the following: 245 First Street starting at the building at 245 First St., place approximately 166’ of 4” Communication Conduit to Nstar MH3384 (48’ being on private property).

New Petition Comcast 55 Concord Street, North Reading, MA for the following:   26-28 Vineyard St from pole 695/3, trench 53' in the public way, installing 1-3" conduit and 1 sidewalk vault to the property line of 26-28 Vineyard St. Remove and replace one sidewalk panel.

New Petition Nstar Electrical and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA Vineyard St  – Southeasterly from pole #695/3 approximately 190 feet East of May St – installing  (54) Fifty-four feet – conduit.  This work is necessary to provide electric service to 26-28 Vineyard St.  W/O#01955535

New Petition Comcast 55 Concord Street, North Reading, MA for the following:   5 Temple St – Place 1 new Comcast vault/frame and cover over existing Comcast conduit system at the corner of Bishop Allen Dr. and Temple St.  From new manhole location, trench 117' southerly, in the public way to the private property line of 5 Temple St., installing 1-4" conduit.  This will include the removal and replacement of the brick sidewalk.  Continue trench southerly in the public way an additional 128’ to the PP line of 727 Mass Ave., installing 1-4" conduit.   

Petition continued (2nd time) from August 21st P&C hearing as further investigation of the project is required.  The owner is to contact Karen Felise at DPW.  Nstar Electrical and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA Reservoir Street – Northeasterly from Pole 581/6, approximately 115 feet southwest of Highland Street, a distance of approximately 122 feet – conduit.  Reservoir Street – South from Pole 581/9, approximately 110 feet north of Highland Street, a distance of approximately 165 feet – conduit.  One new manhole MHC29891.  Highland Street – Westerly from Pole 356/18, approximately 120 feet east of Reservoir Street, a distance of approximately 143 feet – conduit.  Reason for this work is the owner of 26 Reservoir Street has requested Nstar to underground all of its existing overhead facilities.  W.O. #1992885. 

New Petition Nstar Electrical and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Second Street  – Northerly from MHC3476 at Binney Street to MHC2153, a distance of about 85 feet - conduit.   This work is for system improvement. W.O. #1990451

New Petition Nstar Electrical and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Hawthorne Park  -  Northerly side, approximately 170 feet west of Lexington Avenue,  One (1) pole (783/5) to be relocated.  One (1) pole (783/5) to be removed.  This work is to support city projects in the area.  W.O. #1900618

New Petition Nstar Electrical and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Wendell Street   – Northerly from Pole 719/6 approximately 340 feet west of Oxford Street a distance of about 11 feet - conduit.  This work is to provide service to 19-21 Wendell Street.  W.O. #2007380

New Petition Nstar Electrical and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Rogers Street – westerly at intersection of First Street a distance of about 167 feet – conduit.  Installing one new 6x10x8 foot manhole – MHC29880.  First Street northerly from WHC29834 approximately 60 feet south of Rogers Street a distance of about 1570 feet-conduit.  This work is necessary for system improvement.  W.O. #1960341

This petition was approved on March 20th P&C hearing subject to permits, SPOF and site visit.  Forest City Network Solutions has resubmitted this petition for P&C September 18th P&C hearing so that Verizon can participate in the project.  Forest City Network Solutions for the following:  Lead Company (Verizon) to install four (4) inch conduits, and associated manhole structures, on Green Street approximately 700’ between Sidney Street and Landsdowne Street.

New Petition Lightower Fiber Networks, LLC, 80 Central Street, Boxborough, MA 01719 for the following:  Chestnut St. and Magazine St. starting at utility pole 34, place 190’ of (1) 4” Communication Conduit to Utility Pole 146/33.

New Petition Verizon New England, Inc., 125 High Street, Oliver Tower, Floor 5, Boston, MA 02110, for the following:  Non-City related issue with Verizon.
