Description

Sarah Wellons, a Harvard Astronomer will present a lecture exploring the known and the unknown about the Cosmos. Topic: “All Things Bright and Beautiful, Stars from Red Dwarfs to Blue Supergiants" Our Sun is a very average star - it has a middling temperature and size, and doesn't make any sudden moves.  (Lucky for us!)  But there's a whole zoo of different kinds of stars out there, from giant erupting stars to ultra-dense neutron stars!  This month, we discuss the great variety of exotic stars that exist in the Universe. Free event open to the public.
