Continue from April P&C meeting in order to obtain agreements from Level 3 and Verizon and submitting total route.  Forest City Networks, LLC., 25 Bowditch Dr., Shrewsbury, MA 01545 for the following:  Construct and install one 1-1/4” PVC for 60 feet from the existing Verizon manhole 26/36 on Albany St to the Level 3 JTP duct bank on Albany St.  Conduit will connect to Forest City 1-1/4” conduit within the duct bank.  Forest City Networks will install feet of FOC in the newly constructed manhole and conduit. 

Continue from April P&C meeting in order to submit entire route.  Teleport Communications, 157 Green Street, Suite 2, Foxborough, MA for the following:  Traill Street – Public Way Install one (1), four-inch PVC conduit from an existing Utility Pole.  Numbered CEL/3 to a proposed manhole at the intersection of Traill Street and Mt. Auburn Street; a distance of approx.  192’. Mt. Auburn Street – Public Way From the proposed manhole at the intersection of Traill Street and Mt. Auburn Street install one (1), four-inch PVC conduit to proposed manhole at the intersection of Channing Street and Mt. Auburn and then continue through manhole to another proposed manhole opposite the entrance of Mt. Auburn Hospital thence continuing in a southerly direction to a hand hole on private property at 330 Mt. Auburn Street; distance approx. 660’. All work shall be completed in accordance with the specification set forth by the Cambridge Public Works Department.

Continued from April P&C meeting in order to obtain Verizon license and submitting complete route.  Lightower Fiber Networks, 80 Central Street, Foxborough, MA, 01719 for the following:  Broadway starting at existing Verizon manhole 26/81, place (2) 4” Verizon manhole 26/882A.  Installation of (1) 4” PVC conduit and other supporting and protecting equipment along the following way:  Broadway. 

New Petition:  Verizon New England, Inc., 125 High Street, Oliver Tower, Floor 5, Boston, MA 02110, for the following:  Mount Auburn Street  New 1-4” (PVC) conduit on Mount Auburn Street in westerly direction from existing Verizon manhole located in street between No. 110 and No. 112 to provide emergency connection of conduit placed by Tishman Construction to new construction at No. 112 Mount Auburn Street approximately 4 feet (4’).  Work replaces cable cut in error to MBTA substation.  (See enclosed plan.)

New Petition:  Comcast 55 Concord Street, North Reading, MA for the following:  36 White Street From pole #4 on White St, trench 5’ in the public way installing 1-4” conduit to the private property line of 36 White St.  This will include the removal and replacement of one sidewalk panel.

New Petition:  Comcast 55 Concord Street, North Reading, MA for the following:  2 Cambridge Pk Dr. Place new vault over existing Comcast conduit on Cambridge Pk Dr.  Trench 9’ in public way installing 1-2” conduit ending at private property line of 2 Cambridge Pk Dr. St.  This will include the removal and replacement of 1 sidewalk panel.

New Petition:  Lightower Fiber Networks, 80 Central Street, Foxborough, MA, 01719 for the following:  Blackstone Street and Walbro Street starting at existing Nstar MH #1309, place (1) 4” Communication Conduit into the rear of building at 840 Memorial Drive.

New Petition:  Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 77 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, MA.  At the request of the City of Cambridge, MIT is applying for a Grant of Location to place new utilities under Vassar Street in the proximity of their Central Utility Plant (B43) and B39.  The proposed utilities are considered private and are being installed to service a new laboratory that will be built within the main block of the Campus, known now a 60 Vassar Street.  The proposed utilities consist of the following:  Two 30-inch chilled water lines (supply and return), two 12-inch medium temperature hot water lines and one 10-inch fire protection main that will connect to the existing 12-inch municipal main in Vassar Street.  MIT is proceeding with a base design (refer to SK-PC1) and an ADD ALT design (refer to SK-PC2) across Vassar Street.  Both installations will be by a “trenchless” or “jacking” method; with only the proposed 10” fire protection in the base design being open cut to connect to the municipal main.  For the base design (refer to SK-PC1), there are a few existing utility relocations to note as follows:  Natural gas around the launching pit location, relocation of an existing storm drain from under B39 to reconnect to the municipal system and MIT fire protection and domestic water to accommodate drain relocation.  Only the natural gas will cross over onto public property.  The drain and MIT water mains are on MIT property.

New Petition:  Nstar Electrical and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Hamilton St – Northeasterly from pole #320/5 approximately 115 feet southeast of Brookline St – installing approximately (3) three feet- conduit.  This work is necessary to provide service to 85 Hamilton St.  W/O #01987866.

New Petition:  Nstar Electrical and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Reservoir Street – Easterly side of the street approximately 125 feet north of Highland Street-relocating JO Pole #581/9 about 35 feet north of old pole 581/9.  This work is necessary to provide access to a driveway.  W/O #01986899.

New Petition:  Nstar Electrical and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Phillips Pl – Northeasterly from Pole #546/3 approximately 130 feet southeast of St. Johns Rd – installing approximately (7) seven feet – conduit.  This work is necessary to provide electric service to 7 Phillips Pl.  W/O #01989524.

New Petition:  Nstar Electrical and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Mt Auburn St – Westerly from MHC1438 to new private pole approximately 170 feet west of Eliot St – installing approximately (9) nine feet – conduit.  This work is necessary to provide service to 114 Mt. Auburn.  W/O #01987872.

New Petition:  Nstar Electrical and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Highland Ave. – Southeasterly from pole #357/7 approximately 470 feet northeast of Broadway – installing approximately (7) seven feet – conduit.  This work is necessary to upgrade service @ 36 Highland Ave.  W/O #01987501.

New Petition:  Nstar Electrical and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Putnam Ave. – Easterly from MHC1996 approximately 189.5 feet south of Flagg St – installing approximately (44) forty-four feet – conduit.  This work is necessary to service 100 Putnam Ave.  W/O #01972479.
