The City of Cambridge will hold a Candidate Open House Information Session Tuesday Mar. 11, 6-7:30 p.m., Cambridge City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Ave.

Do you or someone you know possess integrity, courage and a willingness to help those in need?  Perhaps you are ready to pursue a career as a Firefighter! The City of Cambridge is currently recruiting applicants to take the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Open Competitive Municipal Service Written Examination for Firefighters to be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014.

The Municipal Firefighter Examination consists of two components: the Written Examination and the Physical Abilities Test. Candidates must take and pass both components in order to be placed on the eligible list for appointment in a civil service city or town.

The early application deadline is March 17, 2014, with an application fee of $200.  Applications will be accepted no later than March 31, 2014, with a fee of $250.
