Disciplinary: Casa Do Benifica Da Nova Inglaterra, Inc., David Brandao, Manager, holder of an all alcoholic beverages club license at 178 Elm Street due to numerous life/public safety issues, alleged public nuisance issues and violation of entertainment license by having a gambling device on premise. Life/public safety issues include: Installation of gas appliances and vent without a building or gas permit, expired Inspection of ventilation hood system, health code violations, crumbling stairs at front entrance, and violation of fire code which resulted in the club being shut down on January 24, 2014. Fire Code violations include but are not limited to: M.G.L. ch.148 sec. 10.03 (2} and (13}- Failure to keep means of ingress/egress clear; M.G.L. ch. 148 sec.10.03 (S}(a}- Improper storage of combustible or flammable material. MGL ch. 148 sec. 10.03 (9} and (13} Failure to maintain fire doors or smoke barriers in proper working order; M.G.L. ch. 148 sec.1.06(2) Failure to maintain a fire protection system. Public nuisance includes alleged afterhours activity, music played loudly, trash and patron noise.

Disciplinary: Casa Do Benifica Da Nova Inglaterra, Inc., David Brandao, Manager, holder of an all alcoholic beverages club license at 178 Elm Street due to allegedly being open for business on January 27, 2014 after being issued a Cease and Desist Order from the Cambridge Fire Department and Cambridge License Commission on January 24, 2014.

Disciplinary: Lizzy’s, LLC, Joshua Velazquez, Manager, holder of an all alcoholic beverages restaurant license at 635 Cambridge Street due to failing to complete the renewal process for your 2014 alcohol and common victualer licenses until January 28, 2014. It is also alleged that you were operating during this time of being unlicensed.

Application: Yihe Group Cambridge Holdings, LLC has applied for a garage license at 262 Monsignor O’Brien Highway for 56 parking spaces and 560 gallons of gasoline in the tanks of autos only.

Application: Cambridge Hotel, LLC, owner of Cambridge Lodging, LLC d/b/a Hotel Marlowe, Richard Colangelo, Manager, holder of an all alcoholic beverages hotel license at 25 Edwin Land Boulevard has applied to pledge said license. Applicant is also applying for a change of manager from Richard Colangelo to Joseph Capalbo.

Application: RUTU, Inc. d/b/a Tanjore, Harnek Singh, Manager, holder of an all alcoholic beverages restaurant license at 18 Eliot Street has applied to pledge said license.

Application: Unspeakable, LLC d/b/a The Ames Street Deli, Joseph Cammarata, Manager, has applied for a new all alcoholic beverages as a restaurant license at 73 Ames Street. The proposed hours of operation are 7:00am to 1:00am seven days per week with alcohol not to be sold before 8:00am Monday through Saturday and not before 10:00am on Sunday. The proposed seating capacity is 142.

Application Diaspora Investment Association, Inc. d/b/a Horizon Bus Line, Deo Tumwine, President, applied for a Jitney Permit to operate a shuttle service from Alewife Station to New York. The proposed service would run from 7:30am to 11:40pm seven days per week. This application was originally heard, and approved, on November 26, 2013, based on the proposed schedule. It is being reheard for clarification of their agreement with the MBTA for Saturday and Sunday service only.
