The following are the matters which the Chair reasonably anticipates will be discussed or voted upon as of 4:00 PM, with public testimony.

 

 

1)  Dunster Street Restaurant Corporation d/b/a Dunster Street Restaurant, holder of a Common Victualler All Alcoholic Beverages License has applied for a change in d/b/a to The Hourly Oyster House. 




2)  Goden Street, LLC d/b/a The Rising, holder of a Common Victualler All Alcohol License at 1172 Cambridge Street has applied for a change of closing hour from 1:00a.m. to 2:00a.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and the night before a legal holiday. An application has also been made for an Entertainment License to include: Live music and or vocalists without amplification (2 performers max); and Audio Tape machine/CD/ computerized automatic amusement device digital media playing music below or at conversation level and 2 TV’s, video screens, or film projector screens.

 

 

 

3)  88 Cambridge Park Limited Partnership has applied for a Garage License at 88 Cambridge Park Drive for 541 parking spaces and 5,410 gallons of gasoline in the tanks of autos only.

 

 

 

4)  Sweetgreen Boston, LLC d/b/a Sweetgreen, has applied for a Common Victualler license at 39 JFK Street with a seating capacity of 40 inside and proposed hours of 7:00a.m. to 12:00a.m. seven days per week, Jason Hopkins as proposed manager of record. Premise is described as portion of the first floor of 39 JFK Street. Kitchen and prep area in the rear of the space. Serving line and seating up front. Storage in the basement.

 

 

 

5)  Appeal Sergo Aubourg, holder of a Cambridge Hackney Driver License #19260, due to the decision of the Executive Director, Elizabeth Lint, to uphold the fine issued by Hackney Officer Arcos.

 

 

 

6)  Clarification   CoffeeShop, LLC d/b/a UpperWest, holder of an All Alcoholic General On-Premise License at 1 Cedar Street, Basement, for clarification of their approved Common Victualler License and hours.

 

 

 

7)  Violation         Cambridge Motor Car Co. d/b/a Cambridge Honda, holder of Car Dealer’s Licenses #UCD10007 and UCD10008, and a Garage License with additional Flammable Storage at 275 Fresh Pond Parkway due to alleged violations of Cambridge Municipal Code 8.16.080(e).

 

 

 

8)  Violation         Colliers, at One Hampshire Street due to alleged violation of Cambridge Municipal Code 8.16.060(B)

 

 

 

9)  Violation         T.T. the Bears Place, Inc., holder of an All Alcohol License at 10 Brookline Street (currently inactive) for failure to pay the alcohol licensing fee in violation of G.L. c. 138 §§12, 12A, 64 and 70.

 

 

 

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS:

 

1)  The Board of License Commissioners will have further discussion regarding the necessity of advertising the following license categories as there is no statutory requirement to do so:  Common Victualler; change of Common Victualler hours; increase of seats; vendor/peddler; antique; second hand goods; used car dealer; farmer winery for farmer’s markets. This was discussed on July 7 and again on August 4.

 

2)  The Board of License Commissioners will discuss and possibly vote on changes to all categories of alcohol-related annual licensing fees for 2017.  Board may discuss changes to all other license fees, as well.

 

3)  Jamie Asbury, on behalf of Hanover RS Construction, has applied for a Special Noise Variance to be exercised on September 3, 2016 through November 17, 2016 on Saturdays only from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM for heavy excavation for underground work.

 

4)  Acknowledgment that Adam Jankauskas, d/b/a City Compost, LLC, holder of Disposal License No. DSP10004 has paid his past due license fee, as well as the administrative fee, and to cancel said license as he no longer operates in Cambridge.

 

MALT & WINE LICENSES WITH OR WITHOUT ENTERTAINMENT:

 

  1. Stacy Grossman on behalf of Harvard Law School, has applied for a malt and wine license with entertainment (Recorded/live music and Theatrical performances) to be exercised at Harvard Law School Wasserstein Hall, 1585 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, on 9/10/16 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. for a fundraiser. Expected attendance - 300 people.
