Continued from May 16th P&C meeting.  Comcast and Verizon need to apply and coordinate project.  Nstar Electric and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Water Street – Northeasterly from MHC 3664 approximately 75’ Northeast of Monsignor O’Brien Hwy – a distance of approximately 36 feet of conduit.  W.O. #01837586.

New Petition:  Comcast 55 Concord Street, North Reading, MA for the following:  22 Water Street., from existing telephone pole 237/3, intercept existing Comcast riser conduits, install one 3’x 3’ manhole and trench approximately 29’ to private property line of 22 Water St.  Connect to 2-4” owner provided conduits on Water St.  Pole 237/3 scheduled to be removed.

Continued from May 16th P&C meeting to get clarification from owner.  Nstar Electric and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Clinton St – Easterly approximately 432 feet southwest from Harvard Street – installing 5 feet of – conduit.  This work is to provide electric service to 14 Clinton St.  W/O #01925634.

New Petition:  Comcast 55 Concord Street, North Reading, MA for the following:  14-16 Clinton Street from pole #9 on Clinton Street, property owner to trench 8’ in the public way to private property line at 14-16 Clinton St., Installing 1-2” PVC conduit.  This will include the removal and replacement of 2 sidewalk panels.  Owner’s contractor will complete all trenching work.

New Petition:  Nstar Electric and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Second Street Easterly from MHC2155 then continuing on Bent Street – install approximately 295 feet of conduit and build new manhole (MH29648).  This work is to provide service to large residential building.  W/O #01907938.

New Petition:  Nstar Electric and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Smith Place Westerly side, at the intersection of Fawcett Street – relocate three JO (3) poles (Poles-640/22-640/24 & 640/26).  Fawcett Street Southerly side – relocating eight JO (8) poles (Poles 271/30-271/32-271/34-271/36-271/38-271/40-271/42 & 271/44).  This work is to be done for reconstruction and roadway improvements on Fawcett St., W.O. #1911906.

New Petition:  Nstar Electric and Gas Company, 101 Linwood, Somerville, MA for the following:  Arrow Street – Easterly from MH3807 @ the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue – install (1) sidewalk roadway antenna.  W/O #01838425.

Continued from May 16th P&C meeting to gather information re:  surveying both manholes.  Teleport Communications America, LLC,  38 Union Square, Somerville, MA 02143 for the following:  Bent Street – Public Way to install six (6) four-inch PVC conduits from an existing Level (3) manhole on Bent Street to an existing Teleport manhole at the intersection of Bent and 5th Streets; a distance of approx. 85 – feet.  Rogers Street – Private Way to install two (2) to six (6), four-inch PVC conduits and a 12’ X 6’ X 7’ concrete manhole from the public right-of-way of 6th Street the property of 250 Bent Street; a distance of approximately 150-feet.  All work shall be completed in accordance with the specifications set forth by the Cambridge Public Works Department.

Continued from May 16th P&C meeting for review by structural engineer.  If all conditions are met, Harvard can move forward after obtaining all permits. Subject to permits, SPOF and a site visit.  President and Fellows of Harvard College, 1350 Mass Ave., Suite 901, Cambridge, MA 02138, for the following:  Two (2) concrete encased duct banks.  One comprised of 8-4 inch conduits and the other comprised of 2-4 inch conduits.  Duct bank and cables to extend from the Harvard University McKinlock Hall located at 8 Mill Street, crossing DeWolfe Street, a distance of approximately 300 feet, 40 feet of which is located within the travel way and sidewalks of DeWolfe Street, and terminating at the northern side of Leverett Tower F and the emergency generator north of Leverett Tower G within the quadrangle located at 40 DeWolfe Street.

New Petition:  Lightower Fiber Networks, 80 Central Street, Boxborough, MA 01719 for the following:  Franklin Street starting at existing utility pole 283/32 Franklin St., place (1) 4” conduit to the property line at 270 Green St (Cambridge Housing).

New Petition:  Verizon New England, Inc., 125 High Street, Oliver Tower, Floor 5, Boston, MA 02110, for the following:  To install approximately 625’ of 2-4” PVC from existing Verizon manhole at Harvard Street and Trowbridge Street continuing down Trowbridge Street through the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue to an existing Verizon manhole at Mount Auburn Street and Putnam Avenue to provide new service.    

New Petition:  Verizon New England, Inc., 125 High Street, Oliver Tower, Floor 5, Boston, MA 02110, for the following:  To place approximately 24’ of 1-4” PVC on Osborn Street from existing Verizon conduit to the side property line of 181 Massachusetts Avenue (formerly 21 Osborn Street).

New Petition:  Verizon New England, Inc., 125 High Street, Oliver Tower, Floor 5, Boston, MA 02110, for the following:  to relocate three poles; Pole #32/25, #32/26 and #32/27 approximately 6’ on Fulkerson Street.  This petition is necessary for a new bike lane at the request of the City.

New Petition:  Comcast 55 Concord Street, North Reading, MA for the following:  2 Hemlock Road from existing telephone pole 365/3 on Hemlock Rd, trench 50’ in the public way to private property line at 2 Hemlock Rd., installing 1-2” PVC conduit.  Property owner’s contractor to complete all work.

New Petition:  Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, Inc.  220 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA for the following:  Installation of subsurface utility tunnel across Massachusetts Avenue between 181 Massachusetts Avenue and 250-254 Massachusetts Avenue.

New Petition:  Level 3 Communications, 300 Bent Street, Cambridge, MA was approved as lead company on April 25, 2013 P&C meeting.  Put on June 20th P&C meeting for other companies to join project:  AT&T, Lighttower, Forest City Network Solutions, Zayo F/K/A, Abovenet, Comcast and Verizon for the following:  Level 3 Communications proposes to install six five inch conduits and four 4 inch conduits approximately 1950LF along Third Street, Rogers Street, Second Street, and Binney Street with the placement of new manhole structures and connections to existing manhole structures and utility poles.

New Petition:  Harvard University, 1230 Soldiers Field Road, Boston, MA 02135 for the following:  Install a fiber optic cable from 26 Trowbridge Street.  Via 5 utility poles on Trowbridge Street to a Comcast manhole on the corner of Mass Ave and Trowbridge Street.
