Tuesday, February 27, 2018

6:00-7:30PM

On Tuesday, February 27th from 6:00-7:30 pm, the Department of Public Works will be hosting a Community Meeting in the second floor Community Room at the City Hall Annex located at 344 Broadway.

City staff will be holding a public meeting to discuss accessibility upgrades to the entry plaza at the City Hall Annex located at 344 Broadway.  Construction is anticipated to begin in March 2018 and last approximately 4 months.

The project generally consists of:

  • Replacing existing brick surfacing with a more consistent, stable concrete surface
  • Addition of a walkway leading to the entrance when approaching from the west
  • Addition of a rain garden for storm water runoff
  • Reduction of the stair width from the sidewalk to the main entrance
  • Relocation of bicycle parking stanchions
  • Wayfinding enhancements for people with disabilities to locate the front entrance including improved signage and paving indicators
  • Addition of limited seating

A brief presentation will be given, followed by a comment, question and answer period.  We encourage you to attend, as we value the feedback we receive from Cambridge residents and businesses.
