    • Friends of Fresh Pond Reservation - Goldenrod and Aster Identification

      Walter J. Sullivan Water Treatment Facility, 250 Fresh Pond Pkwy., Cambridge, MA 02138

      We will use a goldenrod key and an aster chart to help us identify goldenrod and aster flowers, using live cuttings from plants growing on the Reservation. Then we will go to the Kingsley Park bioswale to look at and identify some of these beautiful wildflowers in the field. Wear shoes for walking off-path and long pants. Please register; important information on parking will be given to you when you register.     • Transit Advisory Committee (CANCELLED)

      Citywide Senior Center 806 Massachusetts Ave Cambridge

      THIS MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED, the next meeting is November 6. In May 2013, the City of Cambridge established a Transit Advisory Committee to advance an agenda for a robust public transportation system for those who live and/or work in Cambridge. The committee will guide Cambridge city positions and policies regarding long term sustainable funding for transit by the Commonwealth, transit expansion, service planning for modification or expansion of bus routes, and service reliability and improvements including ways to better design our street network to prioritize bus transit.
