    • Urban Cycling and the Law

      This class is for those who have participated in a basic maintenance course, or understand basic bicycle maintenance. Our bicycle commuter workshops are great for businesses, communities, universities, or bike groups looking to promote healthy transportation options. The workshop is designed for people who know how to ride a bike, but would like to start using their bikes to ride to work, school, or clubs. Attendees receive safety hand outs, and the instructor will have materials on hand to demonstrate principles, as well as to answer any questions attendees may have.

      Join us as we take a quick lunchtime walk around the City using one of the CitySmart walking tours! A great way to get some excerise and see just how close we are to each other - we're within walking distance! Meet at City Hall Annex (344 Broadway) at 12pm sharp!

    • Transit Advisory Committee

      This meeting will be held on the 4th Floor Atrium space at 50 Church Street in Harvard Square (directly above The Sinclair & Fire + Ice). It is wheelchair accessible.

      In May 2013, the City of Cambridge established a Transit Advisory Committee to advance an agenda for a robust public transportation system for those who live and/or work in Cambridge. The committee will guide Cambridge city positions and policies regarding long term sustainable funding for transit by the Commonwealth, transit expansion, service planning for modification or expansion of bus routes, and service reliability and improvements including ways to better design our street network to prioritize bus transit. All committee meetings are open to the public.

    • November First Time Homebuyer Workshop

      City Hall Annex, 2nd Floor Conference Room, 344 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02139

      Pre-registration Required. The four-week workshop will cover a variety of topics including: an overview of the home buying process, credit & budgeting, obtaining a mortgage, legal issues, home inspections, and an introduction to Cambridge's financial assistance programs. Classes include a combination of presentations by Cambridge homebuyer counselors, local real estate brokers, home inspectors and loan officers. Participants are expected to attend all four classes and class begins promptly at 6:00pm.
