It's a weekly block party! Join friends to design and build amazing LEGO structures. Get inspired by our monthly theme or let your imagination run wild!
We will take our creations apart at the end of each session. The Children's Room has plenty of LEGO pieces, so you don't need to bring your own. LEGO pieces are choking hazards for young children. This class will serve as a complement to the Beginner’s Genealogy Workshop offered by the Cambridge Public Library. We will discuss the process of turning genealogical research into audiovisual storytelling, from concept to completion. By addressing artistic as well as practical concerns, the class will introduce students to the challenges and rewards of digital filmmaking as a means of documenting one’s family history. After completing this workshop, students will have the option to enroll in a workshop at CCTV to produce and share their digital story. Registration is mandatory.

This documentary feature film humanizes the stories of gang-involved youth, entangled in the intractable violence of inner-city Boston and the social and street workers tasked with helping to transform their lives. This Ain't Normal examines the individual circumstances behind the violence, thereby gaining a deeper insight and understanding into the issue of youth violence.
This event is part of the Our Path Forward series.
