    Winter storms and extreme temperatures pose a severe risk to the safety and health of people remaining outdoors. When weather conditions are extreme,the City and community partners make a concerted effort to locate and assist people on the street.

    Cambridge Human Rights Commission Vacancy

    Commissioners are expected to attend monthly meetings, participate in subcommittees on outreach and public education, and work with staff on the investigation, mediation and resolution of complaints filed with the Commission which allege discrimination in housing, public accommodations, employment or education based upon race, color, sex, age, religion, disability, national origin or ancestry, sexual orientation, gender, marital status, family status, military status or source of income.

    Dangerously low temperatures are forecasted for this weekend. Residents are urged to to take precautions and stay indoors if possible. Residents experiencing non-emergency heating or frozen pipe issues this weekend can call the Fire Department’s business line at 617-349-4900 to get in contact with a Cambridge Housing Inspector.
