STEVEN SIMARD WORKING SUPERVISOR PUBLIC BUILDINGS DIVISION
Steven began his employment for the Department of Public Works in 1978. Steve is a second-generation employee, who for the past 32 years, has worked as the Department’s sign painter. Steve’s abilities with both hand painting and computer-aided designs is noticeable in everything he produces for the Department. Whether it is a hand crafted lawn sign, or the parks and dedication signs, Steve’s talent shows. Throughout his career with the DPW, Steve has always gone the “Extra Mile” no matter what is assigned to him as is evident from the numerous letters of appreciation that Steve has received over the years.
When it comes to other Divisions within the Department, Steve has always lent a helping hand. He can be counted on in emergency situations such as rain and snow events, and also plays an active role in assisting with special events in the City. Steve is definitely a team player!
Steve is a past recipient of both the Public Works Commissioners award and the Carl Barron award.
It is obvious from Steve’s record and continued praise from all the people he works with that he is an ideal recipient of this award as well.
