Police Department Gift Drive for Seniors

Cambridge Police Badge
The holiday season is a joyous time of year for most people, but it can be lonely for many senior citizens in our community who may not have family or friends to celebrate with.  Please help the Cambridge Police Department put a smile on a senior’s face with a holiday gift bag on Christmas Eve.

Gift donations will be accepted through Monday, December 20. Gifts can be dropped off in the first floor Main Lobby of the Robert W. Healy Public Safety Facility at 125 Sixth St., Cambridge.

Suggested donations include: Socks, Slippers, Puzzles, Gloves, Tea.  For a full list of suggested donations, please visit http://bit.ly/SantaSeniors.  Cambridge Police are also asking for volunteers on the morning of Friday, December 24 to help hand deliver the gift bags to recipients.

For more information about the gift drive or to volunteer to help distribute gifts, please contact the Cambridge Police Department Community Relations Unit at 617-349-6009. Also link to event flier http://www2.cambridgema.gov/CityOfCambridge_Content/documents/Flyer_SantaSeniors_FINAL.pdf.
