1-11-11 Snow Storm Updates from Department of Conservation and Recreation and EZ Ride
DCR Prohibits Parking on all DCR Roadways
The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) has prohibited parking on all DCR roadways in the Boston area effective at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11 to facilitate snow-clearing efforts during tonight’s expected storm. Vehicles violating the ban will be towed. Ban will be in effect until further notice.
All DCR roadways:
Boston: Bowker Overpass, Boylston Street (West Bound), Brookline Avenue, Charles Gate East, Charles Gate West, Charles River Dam Road (North Bound), Charles River Dam Road South, Charles Street, Chestnut Hill Drive, Clarendon Street, Columbia Road (South Boston and Dorchester), Curley Overpass and ramps, Fenway East Bound, Fenway West Bound, Gallivan Boulevard, the Jamaicaway, Leo M. Birmingham Parkway, Morton Street, Old Colony Boulevard, Park Drive - North Bound Riverway, Shore Drive (South Boston), Storrow Drive, Truman Parkway, and William J. Day Boulevard (also known as Day Boulevard).
Cambridge: Commercial Street, First Street, Fresh Pond Parkway, Greenough Boulevard (East Bound), Memorial Drive, Mt. Auburn Street (West Bound), O'Brien Highway.
Lynn: Lynn Fells Parkway and Lynn Shore Drive.
Medford: Fellsway, Fellsway East, Fellsway West, and Mystic Valley Parkway.
Milton: Blue Hills Parkway, Brush Hill Road.
Revere: Revere Beach Boulevard, Revere Beach Parkway, Winthrop Parkway
Somerville: McGrath Highway
Stoneham: Pond Street
Winthrop: Winthrop Shore Drive
EZRide Shuttle Passenger Alert for Wednesday, January 12, 2011
At this time, we expect EZRide Shuttle to run service tomorrow morning, Wednesday, Janaury 12, 2011, pending developing weather conditions over night.
We further expect traffic and weather conditons to slow the service. Please budget additional time for your commute in the morning. We will evaluate conditions in the early morning,and will cancel the service if the weather is too severe for safe operation.
