The City of Cambridge invites you to the fourth annual Fresh Pond Day on Saturday, May 7, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., 250 Fresh Pond Parkway.  Join us as we celebrate everything that makes one of the city’s largest open spaces so special!  This event is free and open to the public. Picnic baskets are encouraged.

A series of activities and events at two locations (Water Treatment Plant, 250 Fresh Pond Parkway and Maher Park, 650 Concord Avenue) will entertain residents and visitors of all ages.  Enjoy nature walks, a Woodland Restoration tour, a scavenger hunt, Story Trade with Storystream Cambridge, live music, beekeeping display, a bicycle safety obstacle course and repair stand, a container gardening demonstration, tree planting, Maynard Ecology Center Open House, Garlic Mustard Weedout, Face Painting, an Energy Efficiency Quiz Show, Pedicab rides, “Fix-a-Leak” and more.

Parking will be very limited at the event location.  Taking public transportation or Cambridge Science shuttle (see information below) is encouraged.  Options include the #72 bus from Harvard Square or walking from Alewife Red Line Stop. Some parking will be available at Bolt, Baranek & Newman (BBN), 10 Moulton St. (off Concord Ave).
