Cambridge Police Officers Prepare Thanksgiving Meal for Seniors
11/29/2011
To give thanks this year, several Cambridge Police Officers and teens from the Moore Youth Center cooked a pre-Thanksgiving dinner for members of the community on Tuesday, Nov. 22. Officers Burroso, Daniliuk, Mahoney, and Santiago joined Sergeant Murphy and teens from the Moore Youth Center City Peace Program to provide grateful seniors a filling meal at the Manning Apartments in Cambridge.
The teens teamed up with the officers to prepare food donated by the Multicultural Police Officers Association and serve the nearly 60 senior citizens in attendance. The officers and teens enjoyed giving back to the community and also spending time with the seniors who were thankful for the meal.
