Cambridge Receives MassRecycles Outstanding Achievement Award
The City of Cambridge was the recipient of MassRecycle’s 2011 Board of Director’s Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition of its “visionary leadership and innovative efforts to improve recycling and waste reduction in Massachusetts.”
Every year, MassRecycle recognizes a select group of individuals, businesses, municipalities and organizations for their outstanding leadership and innovation in promoting recycling and waste reduction and presents them with one of their coveted recycling awards. Winners are selected through a peer review process.
Public Works Commissioner Lisa Peterson accepted the award on the city’s behalf at MassRecycle’s 16th annual Recycling Awards Ceremony and Celebration November 15 at the National Heritage Museum in Lexington.
