Cambridge Receives Growth Award for Urban Forestry Achievements

2012 marked the 20th year that the City Cambridge was recognized by the National Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City USA.
The City also received the Foundation’s more prestigious Growth Award for the fifth consecutive year. These awards recognize the City’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the Cambridge community by providing high quality tree care and plantings.
The Growth Award specifically recognized the City for its public outreach efforts, the Junior Forester Program, tree protection improvements in construction zones and significant improvements to our tree inventory.
