Neighborhood Parks Come Alive through Arts in the Parks
6/20/2012
Each summer, neighborhood parks come alive with programs for children of all ages and families. A series of multicultural theme based arts and crafts allow children to develop and express their creative talents as well as an appreciation of different cultures.
Interactive performances including dance, music, storytelling, theater and puppetry performed by culturally diverse artists introduce children and their families to different forms of performing arts. Evening potlucks and musical concerts in some parks culminates the summer season.
Arts in the Parks is coordinated through the Community Schools Division of the Department of Human Service Programs.
Please note: We will also be collaborating with the Cambridge Arts Council on additional programming.
