Cambridge Officially Launches Hubway Bike Share Program

City officials and community members take off from the new Central Square Hubway station (located in front of the Post Office and across from City Hall) for a group ride to Harvard Square, following the official launch of Hubway in Cambridge.
On August 8, City officials, along with other local and state officials, Harvard, MIT and other bike share partners, “officially” launched Hubway, the regional bike share system, in Cambridge!
The system is fully integrated amongst the participating municipalities of Cambridge, Boston, Brookline and Somerville. The event also included the unveiling of U.S. Postal Service commemorative bicycle stamps and group bicycle rides from MIT to the event, and afterward from the event to Harvard Square.
