The Special State Primary will be held Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013 for the office of Representative in Congress for Massachusetts 5th Congressional District to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Representative Edward Markey. The polls will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Any voter who is unable to go to the polls on Election Day due to physical disability, religious belief, or absence from the City may request an Absentee Ballot from the Commission. Due to the observance of Columbus Day on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013 the deadline to apply for an Absentee Ballot is Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at 5 p.m.  For more information, visit the Cambridge Election Commission office at 51 Inman Street, Cambridge, call 617-349-4361 or visit our website at www.cambridgema.gov/election.

The 2013 Cambridge Municipal Election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013. The polls will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.  For Cambridge residents not already registered, the last day to register to vote is Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 until 8 p.m. To confirm if you are registered to vote, please visit the Election Commission's Online Voter Registration Database.

Absentee Ballots for the Nov. 5 Municipal Election are now available at the Cambridge Election Commission office. Any voter who is unable to go to the polls on Election Day due to physical disability, religious belief or absence from the City may request an Absentee Ballot from the Commission by Noon on Monday, November 4. Absentee Ballots may be mailed to voters, or such voters may choose to vote at the Commission office during regular office hours: Monday, 8:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Tuesday – Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m. – Noon. The office will also be open for Absentee Voting on Friday, Nov. 1, from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
