Cambridge Police Dept., in collaboration with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, will hold a prescription drug take-back day Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., in the lobby of Cambridge Police Department, 125 Sixth St.

Residents should turn in their unused prescription drugs because:

  • Children and animals could be poisoned if they find and swallow drugs.
  • Drugs can be scavenged and illegally sold.
  • Unused pharmaceuticals are environmental toxins; flushing them down the toilet or sink can release them into our drinking water and soil.

Additionally, residents can anonymously deposit unused medications at any time in the drop box located in the first floor lobby of the police station’s Records Unit. For more information, and a list of accepted prescription drugs, visit: www.CambridgePolice.org/CommunityResources.
