Cambridge Mayor and City Manager Kickoff Composting Program Pilot

Mayor David P. Maher and City Manager Richard C. Rossi helped kickoff a 1-year Curbside Compost Pilot Program in North Cambridge pilot. The program will continue through March 30, 2015.

The City's goal is to recruit 500-800 participating households. Eligible residences must be in the green area of the Monday collection route, have city trash service, and be single family homes up to multi-family buildings with no more than 12 units. Participation is voluntary. As of early February, we are focusing on maximizing participation in the multi-family buildings already signed up and still have room for another 10-15 eligible residences.
