Assault to Murder

On 7/16/09 at 12:04 AM, a victim reported that he was shot one time in the buttocks after a confrontation with another male in front of the Gourmet Express on Mass Ave and Upland St.  The suspect then fled in a dark colored SUV with two other parties and the victim drove himself home.  After arriving at his home he was driven to the hospital by a family member.

On 7/16/09 at 11:15 AM, 17-year-old Kelvin Andrade of 341 Norfolk, St Dorchester, MA was arrested for shoplifting after stealing a pair of sneakers from Urban Outfitters on JFK St.

On 7/16/09 at 12:44 PM, 58-year-old Henry Gates of 17 Ware St. Cambridge, MA was arrested for Disorderly conduct after exhibiting loud and tumultuous behavior.

On 7/16/09 at 1:00 PM, a software development company, at Cambridge Center reported that an unknown person(s) stole a test cell phone with it's still-developing-prototype software during the weekend.

On 7/16/09 at 1:35 PM, a manager of Tedecschi's located on Broadway St. reported that on a suspect entered the store and asked the clerk for several boxes of cigarettes, and as the clerk placed the items in a bag the suspect grabbed the bag along with the merchandise and fled out the front door without paying.

On 7/16/09 at 1:46PM, a Cardinal Medeiros resident stated that he discovered that an unknown(s) had obtained and used his social security number, subsequently opening a bank account.

On 7/16/09 at 2:42 PM, an unknown suspect uttered a false one hundred dollar American Express Travelers check to a business and made purchases with the fraudulent check.

On 7/16/09 at 2:42 PM, a Braintree, MA resident stated that he parked his motor vehicle near the intersection of Main St and Windsor St.  He further stated that  that an unknown party struck, and damaged his van without identifying himself.

On 7/16/09 at 2:53 PM, a business on Mass Ave. stated that two of their clients got into a verbal argument; one male slapped the other, the same male then took out a pocket knife. No injuries were reported.

On 7/16/09 at 3:27 PM, an employee of Micro Center on Memorial Dr. reported a larceny from the store which had occurred earlier in the day.

On 7/16/09 at 3:45 PM, a New Hampshire resident's vehicle was towed   after numerous complaints were received about the  alarm sounding for days. The vehicle was parked on Montague St.

On 7/16/09 at 3:58 PM, a Boston resident reported that her handbag was taken from her while she was having coffee at Pete's Coffee Shop on Mt. Auburn St.

On 7/16/09 at 5:06 41-year-old Maureen DeSimone of 75 Carlisle St. Quincy, MA was arrested for shoplifting and receiving stolen property at the CVS Store at the Galleria Mall.

On 7/16/09 at 5:09 PM, 27-year-old Stanley Carter , homeless, was arrested inside The Old Navy store located at  the Cambridgeside Galleria Mall after being seen putting clothes inside a used Old Navy bag.

On 7/16/09 at 6:05 PM, a Linnaean St. resident reported that unknowns attempted to open a Sprint Wireless account using his name. He notified Sprint Fraud Dept. immediately that he was not the individual attempting to open the account.

On 7/16/09 at 6:42 PM, suspect was at an Elm St. resident's apartment awith his girlfriend for a party.  While at the party the suspect made inappropriate remarks to the reporting party.  She ignored him during this time.

On 7/16/09 at 7:14 PM, a male and female were involved in a mutual assault at Central Square.  This incident was not domestic related.

On 7/16/09 at 8:05 PM, 33-year-old Mark Louis of 53 Madison St. Malden, MA was taken into custody at Supreme Liquors in Central Square on a warrant for Aggravated Rape.
