CITIZEN ALERT: Stabbing on Massachusetts Ave near Harvard Square
Victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries

At approximately 10:10 p.m. on July 4, Cambridge Police responded to the Harvard Square area on a report of a stabbing.
Upon their arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from a small stab wound to his lower back. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police believe that the stabbing was the result of an altercation between the victim and another male just prior to the stabbing and was not a random act.
Although police have identified a possible suspect, the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Cambridge Police at 617-349-3300.
