New Year, New Look
Cambridge Police Begin 2012 by Launching New & Improved Website
This morning, the Cambridge Police Department unveiled its new website, which it believes will help residents and businesses find information and resources more easily, while also increasing interaction with the department via social media.
“This is a very exciting day for us,” said Cambridge Police Commissioner Robert C. Haas. “Lots of work has gone into our new website and we hope that it will help our community navigate and find important information more easily. We also hope that the steps we have taken to integrate our site with social media will allow for a more interactive discussion between the community and the police.”
The new website contains callouts for featured news and links to valuable information on the homepage, while also allowing visitors to find information about the department’s Police Units, Community Resources offered by the department, News & Alerts from police, and the Commissioner’s Office, simply by using the top navigation bar.
News, alerts, and information are also shareable on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ via social media buttons embedded on the site and at the end of news stories.
Cambridge Police encourage the community to visit the site, navigate through it, and provide their thoughts and feedback on the new design by tweeting @CambridgePolice, leaving comments on the department’s Facebook page at facebook.com/CambridgePolice, and/or by submitting feedback through the link available on the homepage.
