Cambridge Police to Offer Self-Defense Courses for Women

Classes offered free to female Cambridge residents & employees


The Cambridge Police Department is excited to once again offer a self-defense training course for women.

Beginning on Saturday, February 9, 2013, self-defense classes will be held on four consecutive Saturdays and are offered FREE to any female Cambridge residents or employees who wish to attend. 

Classes will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and run until 12:00 p.m. at the Citywide Senior Center located at 806 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge.

The Cambridge Police Department’s Self-Defense Program is a comprehensive course for women, which begins with information about awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and avoidance, before progressing to the basics of hands-on defense training.
