Criminal Investigations Unit
The Criminal Investigations Unit is responsible for evaluating reports and making a determination as to the solvability of the crime. After this evaluation the case is either assigned to a detective or case manager for follow-up with the reporting person. This includes a timely contact to advise them of the process and provide additional information as needed.
It is the goal of the Criminal Investigations Unit to provide the highest quality of service to those who have been victimized by crime. Regardless of the severity of the offense, the unit looks to advocate for all victims and keep them updated on the status of their case.
If you have questions for a detective, you may call the Investigations Unit at 617-349-3370.
