Interlibrary Loan
If a title is more than twelve months old and not available in the Minuteman Library Network, you can request it through the Virtual Catalog. The Virtual Catalog is another network of libraries you can access directly. Please provide an email address so we can let you know when your title arrives.
If the item is not available in the Virtual Catalog, it may be requested through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). ILL provides access to the holdings of public and academic libraries throughout the continental United States. The purpose of this service is to strengthen the depth of offerings available to individuals who want to explore a topic in greater detail than the scope of the Cambridge Public Library or the Minuteman Network collections can support. ILL is neither intended to nor can it replace access to the research facilities of an academic system.
You may request ILL materials in person or online. You may have two requests active at a given time. Materials can take 3-6 weeks to arrive. We will send you an email when your title arrives.
