Banned Books Poster Contest

Celebrate your freedom to read by entering the Cambridge Public Library’s first ever banned book poster contest! Design a poster featuring a specific banned book you love or addressing themes such as censorship or intellectual freedom, and enter to win. All ages welcome. All entries receive a prize and winners in Adults, Teens, and Children categories each receive special prizes.

 

Contest runs August 27-September 17.

Create a poster on your own and drop if off, or join us to make posters together on September 8th.

Submissions may be dropped off at any CPL branch or the Q&A desk, the Teen Room, or the Children’s Floor at the Main Library.

Entries must be on 8 ½ x 11” or 11 x 14” paper.

Write your name, age, phone number, and email address clearly on the back of your poster. One entry per person. All entries must be original work. Entry into this contest constitutes the entrat’s permission and consent to the City of Cambridge to publicly copy, post and display the entry with or without the entrat’s name and/or age in any media.
