Tax Assistance

12:00 PM - 4:30 PM Friday, April 14, 2017

Location:
Main Library
449 Broadway
Community Room
Cambridge

Tax Assistance for 2017 will run from February 3 through April 15 in the Main Library's Community Room on Fridays 12 - 4:30pm and Saturdays 10am - 3pm. Tax help will also be available on Mondays from 5:00pm - 7:30pm starting February 13. There will be no tax help on March 10, 11, 13, 17, or 18 due to Harvard's Spring Break. This program is available to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and limited English speaking taxpayers.

To get your taxes done you MUST bring:

  • Your social security card or other government issued ID showing your social security number (a W-2 is not sufficient)
  • Government issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, etc.)
  • Social security cards for all dependents (and spouse if filling a joint return)
  • Any tax forms you have received (W-2, 1099-HC, etc.)

TaxHelp is an all volunteer group from Harvard Law School. They operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. The program has been extremely popular this year, and while Tax Help tries to accommodate everyone, service is not guaranteed.
