Donate to the Library

The Cambridge Public Library is proud of its tradition of excellent service to our community. We are fortunate to enjoy financial support from the City of Cambridge to operate our seven libraries throughout the City. While public support is critical to our success, private support can make a significant difference for current users and for generations to come. To make that difference and reach a new level of excellence, the Cambridge Public Library welcomes donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Private funding allows us to expand our services in critical areas:

  • Improving literacy for all age groups
  • Making new technology available to all residents
  • Broadening the scope of public programming
  • Preserving and providing greater access to Cambridge’s unique historical resources
  • Creating capacity for future initiatives

There is more than one way to support the Cambridge Public Library. Susan Flannery, our Director of Libraries, would be happy to speak you about any or all of these options. You can reach her at 617-349-4032 or sflannery@cambridgema.gov.
