SOS THE AMERICAS: The Torch of Life Stops in Cambridge Tuesday, Feb. 9

Step by Step, a non-profit charitable organization is coordinating a global torch relay to raise awareness regarding the importance of organ donations.  It includes a 300 city, 36 country student torch relay that started in Alaska on Oct 23, 2009 and will end in Argentina on Oct 24, 2011. The famous Torch Of Life that is being relayed was blessed by Pope John Paul II on Sep 5 2001, when he proclaimed that organ & tissue donations was a Genuine Act of Love and encouraged event organizers to let the students carry it and be the spokespersons.
