The Community Development Department's Economic Development Division recently announced the kick-off of the Cambridge Retail Strategy Plan, with the consultant Larisa Ortiz Associates (LOA). The goal of the Retail Strategic Plan is to develop a strategy made up of best practice policies and programs that will support and enhance the ground level active use and retail environment in Cambridge. The Consultant will craft this strategy by first understanding the City's current retail landscape and then analyzing expected development potential and retail trends. To learn more about the retail strategy, click here.

An important part of the study is surveying current ground floor retailers, restaurants and service business owners in Cambridge. Please fill out this survey by March 3, 2017 to give us your feedback. One winner will receive a $20 gift card to a Cambridge local business of their choice.

For any questions on the Retail Strategy, please contact Lisa Hemmerle, Director of Economic Development at 617/349-4616 or lhemmerle@cambridgema.gov.
