Business networking

The City of Cambridge, in partnership with The Capital Network, is sponsoring Get To It!, an afternoon of free events to help support business founders and entrepreneurs in the early stages of business development. The event will take place on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 3:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at IDEO Cambridge located at 80 Prospect Street.

"Get To It!" will focus on 3 things that every founder needs: building, learning & connecting:

You'll Build: the perfect pitch. You only have a few minutes to get an investor's attention and convey the essence of your business concisely and convincingly. Learn how to tell a story about your  company that would make anyone, especially investors, want to hear more!

You'll Learn: options for funding. Find out which types of funding are a good fit your business and stage and what opportunities exist across Greater Boston's funding landscape.

You'll Connect: meet with mentors, entrepreneurs, resources, and services. Get help from professionals that can help you along your startup's journey. Event participants will receive a resources guidebook full of organizations and opportunities that are at your disposal in Cambridge and beyond.

If you are a founder or entrepreneur with a startup -- or an idea for one -- looking for connections in the Greater Boston innovation ecosystem, then this is a great event for you.

This event is free. Cambridge residents and entrepreneurs are highly encouraged to attend.
