National Recovery Month Events

National Recovery Month raises awareness of mental and substance use disorders, celebrates individuals in long-term recovery, and acknowledges the work of prevention, treatment, and recovery support services.

In Cambridge, we’re celebrating the numerous and vital members of our community whose lives have been transformed through recovery by lighting up City Hall purple from August 31 through September 6. There will also be events through the month to celebrate recovery, raise awareness that recovery from substance use disorder is possible, and share memories of friends and family members who have passed.
