City Hall at Night Lit up in blue

The City of Cambridge will commemorate Autism Awareness Month by lighting City Hall in blue light at a kick-off event on Thursday, Mar. 30 at 7 p.m., on the steps of City Hall. A brief speaking program with City and School officials will follow.

Nearly a quarter century ago, the Autism Society launched a nationwide effort to promote autism awareness, inclusion and self-determination for all, and assure that each person with Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is provided the opportunity to achieve the highest possible quality of life. This year, organizers hope to go beyond simply promoting autism awareness by encouraging friends and collaborators to become partners in the movement toward acceptance and appreciation of autism in Cambridge.
