Resident Permit Parking Only Sign

The computer system at the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) will be shut down and the RMV will not be processing any transactions beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 22 through 8 a.m. on Monday, March 26, due to the rollout of their new driver licensing system.

As a result, the City of Cambridge Traffic, Parking, and Transportation will not be able to issue any Resident Parking Permits or clear any license/registration holds during that time period, since both of those require access to the RMV’s computer system.
