ROADWAY PAVING NOTICE
Kinnaird St., Hayes St, Magee St., and Putnam Ave.
Paving: October 23, 7 AM to 10 PM
October 26, 7 AM to 6 PM

The city’s contractor, D’Allessandro Corporation, will perform roadway paving which is scheduled for Friday, October 23 from 7 AM to 10 PM and Monday, October 26 from 7 AM to 6 PM, weather permitting. 

This work will be noisy at times and rolling street closures and parking restrictions will be in effect.

What to Expect During Construction and Paving:

  • Noisy conditions – machine noise, beeping
  • Vibrations
  • Work hours for paving will be 7 AM to 10 PM on Friday and 7 AM to 6 PM on Monday.
  • Police officers will be onsite to assist with traffic management. 
  • Crews will make every effort to open to the roadway as soon as possible.
  • When work occurs directly in front of driveways or entryways, the contractor will coordinate access directly with residents.
  • City services will continue uninterrupted and emergency vehicles will maintain access.
  • Please note that all operations are weather dependent and may be rescheduled.

ROADWAY CONSTRUCTION NOTICE
Kinnaird St., Hayes St, Magee St., and Putnam Ave.
Construction: October 15-22, 7 AM to 4 PM
Paving: October 22-23, 7 AM to 6 PM

The city’s contractor, D’Allessandro Corporation, will perform roadway work over the next two weeks in preparation for final roadway paving which is scheduled for Thursday, October 22 and Friday, October 23 from 7 AM to 6 PM, weather permitting.  In order to perform that work, the following operations are expected to take place:

  • Raising castings
  • Pouring concrete
  • Jackhammering

This work will be noisy at times.  Work hours from 7 AM to 4 PM and rolling street closures and parking restrictions will be in effect.

What to Expect During Construction and Paving:

  • Noisy conditions when jackhammering is performed to raise castings.
  • Work hours for construction work will be 7 AM to 4 PM.
  • Work hours for paving will be 7 AM to 6 PM.
  • Police officers will be onsite to assist with traffic management. 
  • Crews will make every effort to open to the roadway as soon as possible.
  • When work occurs directly in front of driveways or entryways, the contractor will coordinate access directly with residents.

ROADWAY GRINDING NOTICE
Kinnaird St., Hayes St, Putnam Ave., and Magee St.
October 13-14, 7 AM to 6 PM

The city’s contractor, D’Allessandro Corporation, will perform roadway grinding on the following streets:

  • Kinnaird Street between Jay St and Putnam Ave
  • Hayes Street
  • Putnam Ave between Kinnaird St. and Magee St.
  • Magee Street

Grinding will take place on Tuesday, October 13 and Wednesday, October 14, in preparation for final roadway paving. Work hours for the grinding operation will be 7 AM to 6 PM and street closures and parking restrictions will be in effect.

What to Expect During Roadway Grinding:

  • Streets will be closed to vehicular traffic during grinding operations.
  • During the grinding operations, there will be detours and road closures in place while crews perform the work. Police details and signage will be onsite to direct drivers.
  • There cannot be any cars parked on the street during the grinding operation. Please be sure to check “No Parking” signs to avoid being ticketed and towed.
  • When work occurs directly in front of driveways or entryways, the contractor will coordinate access directly with residents.
  • City services will continue uninterrupted and emergency vehicles will maintain access at all times.

September 2015

In the coming weeks, street grinding and paving operations will take place on Kinnaird Street and Hayes Street, with paving scheduled to occur in mid-October.

Vehicle access in and out of properties will be limited during work hours while crews perform the roadway grinding and paving.  This operation will also cause traffic disruption.  Please plan vehicle trips accordingly.

What to Expect During Construction:

  • General work hours will be 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday-Friday, however extended hours may be necessary.
  • “No Parking” signs will be posted at least 24 hours in advance of construction; please be sure to check posted signs for exact dates and times. 
  • When work occurs directly in front of driveways or entryways, the contractor will coordinate access directly with residents.
  • City services will continue uninterrupted & emergency vehicles will maintain access at all time.

August 2015

During the month of August, the City’s contractor, D’Allessandro Corporation, will be reconstructing the sidewalks on the north side and south side of Kinnaird Street between Putnam Avenue and Jay Street. Final roadway paving is scheduled for September.

 

The project is scheduled to be completed in fall 2015.

This project is in coordination with the City's Street and Sidewalk Reconstruction Program. Construction generally includes surface enhancements such as pavement, sidewalk and pedestrian ramp reconstruction, traffic calming, and greenscaping.
