During the week of June 29 (weather permitting), the City’s contractor, D’Allessandro Corporation, will mobilize to Mt. Auburn Street (Gibson Street to Fresh Pond Parkway) to complete the reconstruction of the center island near the Fresh Pond Parkway. In addition to work in the center island, crews will be performing miscellaneous sidewalk repairs throughout the project area. This work is expected to take 2 weeks to complete. Reconstruction of the roadway will begin in late July and is scheduled to be completed in mid-August.
What to Expect during Construction
• Work hours will be 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.
• “No Parking” signs will be posted; please be sure to check dates/times.
• Pedestrian and vehicle access into properties will be maintained, but may be altered in certain ways.
• Emergency vehicles will have access at all times; city services will continue uninterrupted.
The project is scheduled to begin August 2, 2014, and is expected to be completed by late October 2014. Final roadway paving will take place in spring/summer 2015.
